We LOVE the VA Infant & Toddler Specialist Network
The Gathering Academic Preschool strives to offer the best care for all the little ones in our care. To help us reach this goal we are working with the Virginia Infant & Toddler Specialist Network. Through this network we have been provided with a mentor who comes into our classrooms and supports and mentors the staff directly in the classrooms.
Our mentor is Ms. Christy John. She comes into our classrooms twice month and works with staff on lesson planning, health & hygiene, creating a developmentally appropriate learning space, and role models how to interact with children so that all our interactions create learning opportunities. We are so lucky to have Ms. Christy as our mentor and our looking forward to another year of working with her to make our Infant and Waddler programs the best that they can be.
