The Gathering Academic Preschool is administrated by the Preschool Executive Committee (PEC) which is composed of parents, church members, the pastor and preschool director.
The PEC believes that this preschool cannot be successful without the active participation of parents.
We hold an open house within the first month of school each year to invite parents and students to meet the teachers, see the classroom, and hear about the ways they can be involved throughout the school year. At that time, parents are also invited to sign up for parent-teacher conferences each quarter to hear about the learning journey of their child and to find out how they can best support their child’s progress.
Parents are invited to attend the school at any time and observe their child in the classroom. We will also invite parents to help chaperone field trips or other special events at the school. Communication is the most important way to keep parents connected with The Gathering Academic Preschool, and we are committed to regularly updating parents on the activities in the preschool and needs of the program.
